Description

Redesigned and lighter than ever, the 3-season Hubba Hubba backpacking tent is a best-seller for a reason. This solo shelter is the perfect balance of weight, comfort and livability.

The Inside: The true rectangular floor (no foot taper) is large enough for all your gear, and 37 inches (0.94 m) of headroom lets you sit up comfortably. The tent body is a blend of mesh and solid fabric that provides airflow, privacy and weather protection. The no-curve tent door features zippers that are easy to use with one hand. It also zips closed to a single point so you always know where to open the door, even in the dark. New tech-friendly pockets feature cable ports at the corners for headphone and charging cords. Overhead gear loft pockets are perfect for headlamps, sunglasses and other quick-access items.

The Outside: The symmetrical tent design means you can set up the Hubba in a flash, particularly useful in those unexpected rainstorms. Virtually unbreakable Easton® Syclone™ poles, a DuraShield™ waterproof coating and taped seams keep the Hubba stable and dry so you can ride out the weather in comfort. The rainfly features a large vestibule for storing any gear you don’t want inside. The easy in-and-out vestibule door has a StayDry™ rain gutter to keep running water off you and your gear, and a kickstand vent maximize airflow.

The Hubba Hubba 1 will be the only tent you want on all your solo 3-season backpacking adventures thanks to its legendary lightweight livability.

A whopping 331.9 million visits were recorded in 2024 — the most people since record-keeping began in 1904, the National Park Service reported. That marks a 2% increase...
What I’ve Learned from 20 Silent Meditation Retreats
The first time I ever went on a silent meditation retreat, 11 years ago, I thought I had entered the zombie apocalypse. After arriving and having dinner with my fellow retreatants, we went into silence. I had considered what it would be like to remain quiet myself for five days (hard, I figured) but not what it would be like...

The Cult of the Mountain-Town Weatherman
On a Sunday afternoon in October, I snuck out for a run. It was tank-top weather when I left my house in downtown Durango, Colorado, and I expected it to hold. I drove north into the mountains, and as I crested a hill 15 minutes in, the sky turned gray and cracked with lightning. The temperature reading in my car...

This includes racer...

Four men have been sentenced for attempting to smuggle more than 100 tropical birds from Puerto Rico. Their failed plan resulted in all the birds drowning. No-Carbon, Lower-Stack Super Shoe: Norda 005 First Look Review
Every time I’ve met with Norda founder Nick Martire, it’s as if I’m Mark Cuban and we’re on the set of Shark Tank. The pitch is always passionate and intense. He is an entrepreneur straight out of central casting; each interaction is superlative-laden and memorable. Norda is a darling of the trail running scene, but there isn’t a line of...
Remember Why You Started Backcountry Skiing: ATK Raider 13 Evo Review
When you have the ATK Raider 13 Evo under your feet, you immediately feel like a pro. And, I tried skiing it like one, just to see what would happen. Real Conservation, No Gimmicks: The Gritty Work of Saving Desert Bighorn Sheep
Conservation often feels like an abstract concept. Its often something that happens behind the scenes through funding, bureaucracy, and awareness campaigns. With KUIU Conservation Direct, its anything but abstract. This is hands-on work with immediate and tangible results. We captured and translocated the 200th bighorn sheep for Conservation Direct and went on to hit number 224. When I say we,...
