Aluminum Liner

Description

  Crush-resistant liner for Ursack models

When this aircraft aluminum liner is added to the Ursack Major, it becomes a hybrid bear canister. May also be used with Ursack Minor. It is not made to fit the Ursack Major XL, but may be used to partially protect the food inside a Major XL. Consider using an aluminum or titanium plate to create a top for the liner inside a Major XL. The Aluminum Liner fits in an AllMitey, but the hook and loop fastener may not close. If the AllMitey is tied to a tree branch, all but the most fragile foods will avoid being crushed.

Ursack AllMitey, Major, Major XL, and Minor sold separately.

Footprint sold separately.

The triathlete's complete guide to heart-rate zone training
When people typically make their first foray into triathlon, motivation is high while fitness is low. But while it’s true to an extent, those who stick with endurance sport soon learn a harsh lesson:...

How to get your triathlon training back on track
The transition phase from winter to pre-season is when you should take some time out to check whether or not you're on target for your first race. Assess how much training you've done, measure how fast you can swim, bike and run, and jump onto the scales. If you've trained as fully as possible, well done. If you haven't, don't...
How fit do you have to be to do a triathlon?
Triathlon is one of the world’s most inclusive sports, with people of all levels of fitness taking part, but how much fitness do you actually need to take part in one? How to pace your first sprint-distance triathlon
Your first triathlon is a high-speed puzzle that you’re trying to solve while swimming, biking and running. What is TSS in cycling?
Before drilling into what Training Stress Score (TSS) is and how it relates to cycling, there are a few other metrics to understand. FTP (functional threshold power) was defined as the maximum power that you could hold for 60 minutes. However it’s better viewed as your sustainable power so, for an untrained cyclist, it could be what they could manage...
What is a good cycling pace?
Back in the day, the benchmark for a decent club cyclist was always being able to ride 'evens' – averaging 20mph (32kph) on the club-run and breaking the hour for a 25-mile (40km) TT. At a pro level, though, for example, Sam Laidlow’s record-breaking Kona ride in 2022 averaged 27.6mph (44.4kph). And the winner of 2023's fastest-ever Paris-Roubaix, Mathieu van...
Single-sided power meters: what are they, how do they work and what are their benefits
A single-sided power meter works by having stress gauges on one crank arm or pedal, transmitting this information to your head unit and then this data is simply doubled to produce an estimated figure of your overall power output in watts. Single-sided power meters have made training and racing with power far more accessible and affordable. There are however plenty...
Benchmark your off-season fitness
Once you’re into the winter mode it’s important to get regular information on how things are going performance-wise. Rarely does this data contradict what your training diary and intuitive hunch would already suggest, but it’s still good practice to get a measure of how unfit you are, how much you’ve progressed or how on track you are. Data either proves...
