Description

  Wide-cut 15° F mummy for maximum comfort

Don't let a little claustrophobia keep you from getting into a mummy bag; everything about the Western Mountaineering Badger MF is built for comfort. The 15-degree Badger is a mammoth 66 inches wide at the shoulder and 41 at the foot, and this girth is kept in line with a warm down-filled collar that provides a barrier against convective heat loss and a full-length insulated draft tube along the zipper. The hood is cut large and fills around your face without having to be cinched tight. Holding it all together is a lightweight, wind- and water-resistant MicroLite XP™ microfiber shell with a thread count of over 400 for amazing breathability and water-shedding properties.

Like all of Western Mountaineering's bags, the Badger MF is made by hand in San Jose, California. Their down is sourced from free-range mother geese who are never live-plucked or force-fed.

Footprint sold separately.

The Best Avalanche Beacons of 2024-2025
Avalanche beacons (also known as transceivers) are life-saving devices used by backcountry skiers and split boarders, mountaineers, hikers, or anyone venturing near or into avalanche terrain. We place a lot of emphasis on the type of skis, bindings, and boots you use for backcountry pursuits. However, rescue gear, like a beacon, is critical to survival, so why not choose the...

Fast, Fun, Limited Adventure: Can-Am Origin Electric Motorcycle First Look Review
I am excited by the promise of electric dirt bikes. Silently ripping through the woods or around a motocross track (in the middle of town!) without the noise and exhaust of internal combustion engines would eliminate many negatives associated with powersports. The heaps of torque common in electric powerplants also check the plus box. Being an older rider, I cringe...
Save Your Money: Study Finds Price of a Bike Helmet Has No Correlation to Safety
Its easy to assume that laying out more cash for a bicycle helmet will buy you more safety. But a new study from the Imperial College of London says otherwise. Bike helmets range widely in price, some being well under $100 and others clocking in at $400. Serious cyclists understand that much of the price difference stems from improved aerodynamics,...
Bike Shock Adjustment Has Never Been Faster: Fox Live Valve Neo Wireless Suspension Control
Electronic suspension control isnt new; FOX released its first version in 2018, but it was wired due to the latency in wireless signal transmission. Other bike suspension brands also offer electronically controlled suspension packages. But FOX created a new wireless signal transmission protocol for Live Valve Neo, claiming it the fastest in cycling. FOX says it stripped away all nonessential...

A Price Worth Paying to Keep Your Feet Happy in the Field: Tread Labs Insoles Review
Insoles were never something that were on my radar as a young hunter. I mean, why buy insoles when boots already come with them, right? These were my thoughts until I ran into a pair of boots that came with an insole that literally rubbed my foot raw. Since then, I’ve tried my fair share of aftermarket insoles, with some...
