Description

Stable and secure for the up and the down with gear loops, equipment organization, and diagonal ski carry, the Rab Khroma 22 is for those seeking fresh tracks in rugged terrain. Built to make your day on the skin track straightforward, it has back panel entry for easy access to all your gear, easing difficult transitions from skin to crampon to ski. The detachable helmet holder secures your helmet to the outside of the pack, giving you extra volume for your gear inside, and all zips have been designed with mitt-friendly pullers for quick access on wind-blasted summits.

All Khroma packs are built with a rapid access avalanche equipment pocket. It has a two-way zip with a bright orange zip puller that is designed to always close in the same position – so in the blur of disaster you know exactly where to find it. Shovel handle and probe can be neatly stored in separate sleeves and there is space for the blade to be slotted in on top.

Rab has reinforced their already tough Cordura nylon with Spectra® Ripstop and a HydroShield water resistant finish. This construction makes the Khroma 22 highly abrasion-, tear-, and weather-resistant. It is built with the X-SHIELD™ carry system, which holds the pack close to your back for freedom of movement on both up and the down, giving you complete stability on technical descents. The wide, padded hip belt wraps around snug and secure, with a gear loop on one side and a large pocket on the other - perfect for snacks, GPS device, and a compass.

Streamlined and compact, the Khroma 22 feels low-profile and comfortable, perfect for everyday riding, simple day ski tours, and quick hikes to access the steepest lines.

Footprint sold separately.

Lighter, Cheaper, Faster: BioLite Charge 100 Max Review
Early on, I adopted a blurred background for Zoom meetings — no one needed to know I might be taking that meeting from the parking lot of my favorite local trail. And I don’t see the way I work changing any time soon. If anything, I see myself working more remotely and spending more time on Hipcamp looking up future...
KEEN’s Hyperport H2 Hybrid Adventure Sandal Is Ready for the Water
Few states hold as many hidden treasures as Nevada. Minerals, mountains and majestic, sparsely populated landscapes are par for the course. But less high on the Nevada adventure radar? Hot springs. Lots of ’em. Sure, the state looks incredibly dry when you’re zooming through on I-80, but that topography hides some of the most geothermally active zones in the United...
The Staple Denim Work Jean Since 1947: Wrangler Cowboy Cut Slim Fit Jean Review
From the beginning, Wrangler’s goal was to create the worlds best five-pocket jeans. The women’s 14MWZ Cowboy Cut jeans have the same seven iconic features paying homage to the inaugural pair: the rope logo button, deep watch pocket, seven belt loops, flat rivets, downward facing seams, a logo patch, and the “W” stitch on the back pockets. Wrangler knows how...
Janja Garnbret Is the Simone Biles of Climbing: You Need to See It to Believe It
Every Olympic Games brings us a small handful of iconic moments. Often, these moments come from athletes so dominant in their sport that they stand out even among the best competitors in the world. And, as this years Paris Games have already shown — its not always about winning a gold medal. Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina captured the worlds attention...
Swift, Slick, and Sturdy Vehicle Awning: Kammok Crosswing Review
Some vehicle awnings were quick to deploy and retract, but folded in winds I considered weak. Others required much more effort and sometimes two people to set up. Putting them away could be incredibly inconvenient and time-consuming. And I didnt consider any of them adventure-ready, meaning I could get them up as soon as a rainstorm blew in, and they...
Budget-Beater Luggage: Rockland Melbourne 20 Carry-On Review
Airline travel is rough on luggage, and when some carry-on baggage bashing is inevitable these days, there seem to be two practical approaches: Frequent fliers may elect for the crème de la crème of bags — sturdy, long-lasting, and, often, pricey. Others, however, just need the dang bag to get there in one piece — without forking over half your...
Coupe-Utility Vehicle? 2025 Genesis GV80 Eyes Sport-Luxury Sweet Spot
Rain pattered outside as I relaxed into a lower-back massage, rolling from my lumbar down toward my hips. My companion had already selected mood lighting to accentuate the environment and was now fiddling with an array of calming scents before activating the aroma diffuser. It was an odd experience, considering I was driving and sitting next to a complete stranger....

Rad Power has been putting out quality, affordable electric bikes of all kinds for years and is one of the most popular electric mobility brands in North America. Rad’s product range runs the gamut from electric cargo bikes and folding models to adventure-ready fat tire bikes and commuters. Earlier this year, Rad Power announced several major model updates and new...
Garmin Issues Long-Awaited Updates: Customize Your Watch Face, Control Your GoPro, and More
Whats better than a Garmin watch? One with Baby Yoda on it — obviously. OK, so perhaps your mileage may vary on a willingness to embrace Disneys latest iconography. Luckily, cute baby aliens from The Mandalorian arent the only option for those looking to spruce up their Garmin. The brand just announced a significant upgrade to its Connect IQ marketplace, enabling...
Retro Looks Meet All-Day Comfort: L.L.Bean Women’s Mountain Classic Quilted Booties Review
There’s no better feeling than slipping into a warm pair of down booties after a long day of skiing. Especially when the booties you’ve bought are easy to throw on and pretty much mold to your feet after a few wears. I rocked the L.L.Bean Womens Mountain Classic Quilted Booties during a seemingly never-ending winter here in Colorado. For the...
Shock Value ‘Hunters’ Fuel Anti-Hunting Fire: We Must Demand Higher-Caliber Ethics
Ethical behavior is doing the right thing when no one else is watching — even when doing the wrong thing is legal. — Aldo Leopold I begin this story with this classic Aldo Leopold quote because, lets face it, mistakes happen. At one point or another, every hunter makes mistakes. Some are small and insignificant. Some lead to longer treks...

2024 is turning into the year of fully updated all-terrain (AT) tires. The latest, hitting the market in September, is the Nitto Terra Grappler G3. The original Terra Grappler hit the market back in September 2009. The second-generation Terra Grappler G2, still on the market today, came out in 2014.
