Lifestraw Crux 2L Reservoir
CamelBak
Lifestraw Crux 2L Reservoir
$68.95
Description

Outfit your pack with flexibility and the built-in confidence of clean and safe drinking water. The CamelBak Crux® Reservoir Kit filtered by LifeStraw® passes 2 liters of water through two complete stages of filtration - the Hollow Fiber Filter removes bacteria, parasites, and microplastics and the Activated Carbon Filter reduces taste, odor, and chlorine.

The wide-mouth fill port includes a tethered leak-proof cap and ergonomic handle for a sturdy fill. An on/off lever prevents unwanted drips and the Big Bite Valve self-seals after each sip. Hydroguard™ anti-microbial technology inhibits the growth of bacteria in the reservoir and tube, and all components are free of BPA, BPS, and BPF. Pack assembly is a breeze with an easy-to-load low-profile reservoir baffle and Quicklink™ System that features an auto shut-off to prevent leakage. Convert into a gravity bag by pairing with CamelBak's Reservoir Gravity Kit (sold separately). Safe hydration, trustworthy filtration.

Footprint sold separately.

EarthRoamer Ownership: Truths, Triumphs, and Tribulations
What if your favorite road trip memories — think scenic campsites, crackling campfires, and stunning wilderness — came with a king-sized bed, a proper bathroom, and the ability to carry 100 gallons of water for hot showers in the middle of nowhere? That’s the EarthRoamer. It’s not just a camper. It’s a rolling sanctuary that dares to combine rugged overland...
The Trend of Hormone Balancing with Food Is Total B.S.
In 2018, I convinced myself my hormones were out of whack. Acne and unusual tiredness are supposedly tell-tale signs that your hormone levels are off—I had both. So, I scheduled an appointment with my physician and asked him to test my hormone levels. A quick blood draw revealed that my androgens, a group of hormones produced by the adrenal gland...
The Most Comfortable (And Expensive) Boot Liners I’ve Ever Worn: Surefoot Custom Liners & Orthotics Review
It was 2 days before Thanksgiving, and Aspen was getting absolutely nuked by an early winter snowstorm. I could almost smell the electric stoke in the air as the ski town buzzed with powder day energy. My timing couldnt have been better. Id come to Aspen to test out the Surefoot custom liner fitting process. The brand claims its custom...
Kawasaki Launches Its First 4-Wheel Electric Vehicle, and It Is Not What We Expected
Kawasaki is no stranger to producing all forms of internal combustion engines, powering anything from tiny 50cc dirt bikes for kids to massive 20-cylinder diesel marine engines larger than a bus. The NAV 4e is a distinct departure, solely powered by lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries. Kawasaki labels the NAV 4e as a PTV, or personal transportation vehicle. It retains the...
Three Epic Cross-Country Road Trips to Start Planning Now
No adventure compares to driving across the United States. I’ll never forget my first coast-to-coast drive. It was two friends and me, post college, in a beat-up Subaru loaded with everything I owned. We took the long way home, starting in the farmlands of Vermont and making out-of-the-way pitstops for hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, dining at legendary...

Two weeks ago, some of the brightest stars in freeride skiing and snowboarding descended on Jackson Hole for the Kings Queens of Corbets competition. And while the King and Queen have been crowned, the Peoples Choice has yet to be awarded. You have until March 3 to vote on the Jackson Hole Kings Queens webpage. Once youve voted, youll be...
Slingshot 10: Polaris Adds Flash to Celebrate a Decade of Three-Wheel Fun
The Polaris Slingshot just turned 10 years old. Thats 10 years of offering an experience thats not quite like anything else on the market — a low-sitting driving position, three wheels, and a big four-cylinder engine. The Slingshot — like many of us with a little age — wants a little more comfort. Today, the brand delivers just that by way...
Black Diamond Issues Recall of Vision Climbing Harness
Black Diamond Equipment issued a recall today for its Vision harness due to premature degradation of its specialized materials and construction. The Vision harness in Black Diamonds recall uses Vectran fibers in the waist belt, leg loops, belay loop, and tie-in points. This material is unique for harnesses. It helps make the Vision one of the lightest, nudging my scale...
Is Alpaca the New Merino?
As a gearhead who mostly tests running shoes and apparel made for high-energy activities, I don’t often fire up about a sweater. But when I pulled on Paka’s  Original Sweater for the first time, I didn’t want to take it off. I wore it while working at my desk. I wore it while walking my dog. I even ran about...

Winter Traction That Won’t Break the Bank: Hankook i*cept iZ3 Winter Tire Review
Im not a fan of cheaping out on tires. Like shoes and camping mattresses, the things that go between you and the ground are crucial to having a good time (and avoiding the bad ones). Ive also learned the hard way that brands youve never heard of can be far costlier than the premium ones, even if theyre cheaper at...
I Survived Downhill Skiing’s Rowdiest Party
Stepping off the train in Kitzbühel, Austria, feels like entering hallowed ground: one of the most famous ski towns in the Alps, chartered in 1271 by Duke Ludwig II of Bavaria. I inhaled the crisp afternoon air and began a short walk to my accommodations, passing fur boutiques and high-end ski shops, medieval churches, and brightly lit, glassed-in hotel lobbies....
