CamelBak
Lifestraw Crux 2L Reservoir
$68.95
Description

Outfit your pack with flexibility and the built-in confidence of clean and safe drinking water. The CamelBak Crux® Reservoir Kit filtered by LifeStraw® passes 2 liters of water through two complete stages of filtration - the Hollow Fiber Filter removes bacteria, parasites, and microplastics and the Activated Carbon Filter reduces taste, odor, and chlorine.

The wide-mouth fill port includes a tethered leak-proof cap and ergonomic handle for a sturdy fill. An on/off lever prevents unwanted drips and the Big Bite Valve self-seals after each sip. Hydroguard™ anti-microbial technology inhibits the growth of bacteria in the reservoir and tube, and all components are free of BPA, BPS, and BPF. Pack assembly is a breeze with an easy-to-load low-profile reservoir baffle and Quicklink™ System that features an auto shut-off to prevent leakage. Convert into a gravity bag by pairing with CamelBak's Reservoir Gravity Kit (sold separately). Safe hydration, trustworthy filtration.

Footprint sold separately.

Plenty of Room to Grow: Osprey Poco Plus Review
There are so many options for baby-wearing and child-carrying, and I, for one, was overwhelmed when I first looked into carriers. When I finally found the Osprey carriers, I felt a little more confident that my need to explore outdoor spaces would not be inhibited by my new tiny roommate. This leading brand in backpacking gear delivers in all the...
An Ode to My Overalls
For six months last year, once a week between May and October, I put on a pair of overalls and played farm girl as a volunteer on a goat dairy near my home in Boulder, Colorado. I’ll soon start shifts for this summer. The experience has taught me a lot: That everything on a farm has a purpose. That nothing...
First Look Review: COROS’ First Bike Computer, the DURA
COROS rolls into cycling today with the DURA, the brands first foray into bike computers. This seems logical, as many of its wrist-mounted products, with just a few more functions, would function well as cycling computers if they had bigger readouts and were on the handlebar instead of the wrist. I received a pre-launch sample, but Ive only ridden with...
Nomad Grill & Smoker Review: This Portable Grill Actually Brings the Heat
Everyone loves a backyard barbecue, but what if you don’t have a backyard? Not long ago, I ditched my house for a second-floor apartment. While I don’t miss mowing the lawn, the absence of convenient outdoor cooking hurts, as smoking and grilling have been huge fixtures of my year-round lifestyle, especially since beginning three book collaborations with barbecue master Aaron...
Kid-Friendly, Climber Approved: The ‘Via Ferrata’ Experience
Its a crisp July morning in Jackson Hole. My kids are lined up at the base of a cliff, helmets on, and ready to climb. You clip the cable and just go, our guide explains. A set of ladder rungs snakes 50 feet skyward, disappearing around a bend. Id booked a half-day excursion to show my kids the proverbial ropes...
Driving Toward a Better Future
Some vehicles are so popular they have their own online forums. Others even have IRL followings. But the Defender community takes fandom to a new level, gathering for an annual festival and celebrating the Defender Service Awards presented by CHASE, which support mission-driven nonprofits with cash and a customized Defender 130. Applications for the 2024 Defender Service Awards will be accepted from June...

It’s no surprise that overlanding is booming—when it comes to outdoor adventure, there’s nothing more accessible. With a few key pieces of gear, you can explore the backcountry and camp in comfort in the most remote places. But that doesn’t mean you should just hop in your vehicle and leave the pavement behind. You can avoid a lot of trial...

Revamped Iconic Frames and Gold Glass Greatness: Costa Grand Catalina Review
Sporting some killer new options for both frame styles and lens technology, we don’t know whether to be more excited about Costa’s new gold-mirrored lens or revamped Grand Catalina frames. Performance and style-driven, both of these deadly new offerings from Costa are excellent on their own and even better when paired together. Costa has been busy. Just when I thought...
The 10 Best National Parks in Canada
Yosemite, Great Smoky Mountains, Acadia …. We spend a lot of time salivating over the national parks in the U.S., but there’s a brilliant system of goodies just across the border in Canada. Try Banff. But how many can you even name? Our neighbors to the north have 37 national parks and 10 national-park reserves. The latter are managed in...
Add Music Without Losing the World Around You: Shokz ‘OpenFit Air’ Review
Mobile music is a miracle. From airplanes to morning runs to conference calls from a park bench, earbuds have changed how we work and unwind. But they do have downsides: discomfort and disconnection from reality. The Shokz OpenFit Air solves both these problems while still bumping the bass, ringing that treble, and sounding good enough to sing along. Just remember,...
