If you are claustrophobic or just need a little more room than the average backpacker, it can be very hard to find an ultralight sleeping bag that isn't shaped like a sarcophagus. With that in mind, Western Mountaineering designed the MegaLite, a wide-cut mummy bag that offers room to move but retains a heat-efficient silhouette; a generous 64 inches of shoulder girth lets the larger folks enjoy the weight and volume savings of the ExtremeLite series. Continuous baffles allow you to regulate the temperature of the bag by shifting the down on top of you in colder temps or underneath you when things warm up. A full-length zipper, passive draft collar, and insulated draft tube round out the features on this popular bag.
Like all of Western Mountaineering's bags, the MegaLite is made by hand in San Jose, California. Their down is sourced from free-range mother geese who are never live-plucked or force-fed.
