Sycamore MF
$555.00 - $575.00
Description

Roomy and light with a hood; 25° F

WM sez: "It's your third day on the Colorado and you've been running rapids for as many days. The Grand Canyon looks different from a raft! It's a special place with an ancient Puebloan ruin just up the draw... If you can climb out of your Western Mountaineering Sycamore MF early enough, you might just see it before breakfast... With plenty of room and a hood just in case, the semi-rectangular Sycamore MF is made with our 1.2 ounce MicroLite XP™ to provide that extra margin in weather protection. Filled with 17 oz. of our high-lofting down this bag with 5" of loft is rated to 25° F. It sports 62" of girth at the shoulder and 46" at the foot. Not only will it zip to our mummy bags, but the zipper around the foot section lets it open up flat to be used as a comforter... This is the river runner's dream! This bag was formerly known as the "Hooded Aspen MF". Nothing about the bag has changed except its name." (Hard to improve on that description!)

Like all of Western Mountaineering's bags, the Sycamore MF is made by hand in San Jose, California. Their down is sourced from free-range mother geese who are never live-plucked or force-fed.

Footprint sold separately.

Battery power is no doubt a necessity today, especially for folks like hunters, who are well separated from wall outlets while in the field. First Look: Koroyd’s New Body Armor Tech in the Fox Airframe
When choosing protection, riders usually face a tough compromise. You often choose between hard plastic/EPS foam, which is protective but can feel like a sauna and restricts movement, or viscoelastic foam like D3O. Viscoelastic foam is a great solution, but in cold weather, it can become noticeably rigid and uncomfortable. Koroyd, a brand usually associated with the distinct green straw...

A Dialed Pack for Big Backcountry Adventures: Raide Research LF 30L Review
My face pressed against the glass of the helicopter, I gazed out across the Alps, drooling over Mount Blancs terrifying northern slope and the endless peaks stretching all the way to the Matterhorn.
