Sycamore MF
$555.00 - $575.00
Description

Roomy and light with a hood; 25° F

WM sez: "It's your third day on the Colorado and you've been running rapids for as many days. The Grand Canyon looks different from a raft! It's a special place with an ancient Puebloan ruin just up the draw... If you can climb out of your Western Mountaineering Sycamore MF early enough, you might just see it before breakfast... With plenty of room and a hood just in case, the semi-rectangular Sycamore MF is made with our 1.2 ounce MicroLite XP™ to provide that extra margin in weather protection. Filled with 17 oz. of our high-lofting down this bag with 5" of loft is rated to 25° F. It sports 62" of girth at the shoulder and 46" at the foot. Not only will it zip to our mummy bags, but the zipper around the foot section lets it open up flat to be used as a comforter... This is the river runner's dream! This bag was formerly known as the "Hooded Aspen MF". Nothing about the bag has changed except its name." (Hard to improve on that description!)

Like all of Western Mountaineering's bags, the Sycamore MF is made by hand in San Jose, California. Their down is sourced from free-range mother geese who are never live-plucked or force-fed.

Footprint sold separately.

Float Meets Fun: Black Diamond Impulse Ti 104 W Skis Review
During Presidents Day weekend in 2025, 2 feet of snow buried Jay Peak Resort in Northern Vermont. Skiers were floating turns over their heads, and it mustve been nothing short of blower. But I wouldnt know because I didnt arrive until Tuesday after that storm. By then, I wasnt sure what to expect. I boarded the tram with the Black...

Snappy, Agile, and Highly Versatile: Salomon Pulsar Women’s Trail Running Shoe Review
Trail runners have more choices than ever, but many shoes these days lean heavily toward oversized midsoles and premium price tags. I tested the Pulsar over 25-30 miles on my...
Brilliant Pocket Design in a Down Jacket: Stio Turnbolt Women’s Winter Jacket Review
This was strange, wet weather for the second week of April in Crested Butte, Colo. During springs chaotic conditions, I was very happy to be wearing a toasty down jacket that was also very water resistant: The Stio Turnbolt womens winter jacket. I stepped out of the Secret Stash Pizza and was grateful for the restaurants awning. A torrential downpour...
