We Skipped the Showroom and Took Berkley’s New Baits Straight to the Fish
This was the first year that Pure Fishing (parent company of Berkley) opted out of ICAST. With the show now a distant memory, Berkley finally dropped its new line of baits. For me, this promises to be one of the more memorable bait releases ever executed. Why, you ask? Well, I, along with a select few other media members, had...

In the Wake of Tragedy, ‘Unicycling Unicorn’ Pedals More Than 1,000 Miles of Continental Divide Trail
The unicycling adventures of Jamey Mossengren have always included a certain zany cuteness. If youre familiar with the Unicycling Unicorn, its probably through his stage or street performances, where he wears a colorful unicorn costume and rides a 12-foot-tall unicycle while juggling swords — among many other jaw-dropping tricks. This 46-year-old Minnesotan has also made a name for himself among...

Old School Trout Action Meets Modern Tech: Orvis Superfine Graphite Rod Review
In May, my wife and I had a baby, and my fishing opportunities had been diminished to say the least. I start to get pretty squirrelly when I can’t get out, and my need to get out on the water was further exacerbated by the arrival of a new fly rod, the Orvis Superfine Graphite “Seven-Eleven.” Not being able to...
