If James Bond had a Hot Wheels collection, he probably wouldnt miss out on the limited-edition sculptures just dropped by Range Rover. Hed be obligated to buy in, really, given the iconic vehicles placement in No Time to Die. And since hes a globe-trotting super spy, he likely wouldnt blink at paying $563 just for an all-aluminum version of a classic childrens toy.
The rest of us, however — lacking overseas bank accounts — are left to ponder important questions well never know the answers to, like: How painful is it to step on a $500 toy car when your kid inevitably leaves it on the kitchen floor?
But the toys sculptures are just one small piece of Range Rovers London Collection, the automakers first-ever foray into lifestyle and fashion. But the limited-edition collection, which includes a handful of scarves, jackets, and blankets splashed with modernist art, is more like a destination of Range Rovers long history rather than a detour.
While the iconic vehicle was once lauded for its off-road performance, its power as a status symbol has long since eclipsed those adventurous origins.
Not that theres anything wrong with that. After all, while the Range Rovers designer may have lamented the vehicles turn toward luxury, legacy brands become, well, legacies. And that usually means sating fans thirst for sweet gear that reflects their fandom, which these finely made duds will likely do.

Chic Jackets Silk Scarves While the Range Rover London Collection only includes eight products — two scarves, two jackets, two blankets, and two sculptures — it sounds like a decent amount of work was put into their design and production. And like a classic jazz record, the modernist aesthetic never goes out of style.
Thats most evident in the silk scarves and cashmere blankets offered here. Scarf options include the About Towndesign, printed by an expert team in Lake Como, Italy. Theres also the Chelsea Blossom, a similar design made at one of the U.K.’s last surviving mills in Macclesfield. They cost $372 each.
But the blankets ($1,010) look pretty spiffy also, with a colorful option in the Cream Tea and muted tones from the London Nightfall. Theyre both woven on jacquard looms from virgin wool cashmere and crafted in Italy, according to the brand.
The reversible jackets of the Range Rover London Collection; (photo/Land Rover) As for the jackets ($1,222), these reversible designs (Knightsbridge Promenade and Soho Chic)have a bespoke zip pull design thats inspired by the traditional rotary dials that were once a prevalent feature inside Range Rover cabins, according to the brand. The mens jacket comes in brown with a placement quilted pink side, while the womens comes with a placement quilted side and to the other, a bold graphic print in raspberry and blush.
Finally, there are the tiny aluminum sculptures, available in two colors and crafted from a single piece of aluminum. If you truly love them, but cant afford that $562 price tag, just remember: Mattel will sell you a Range Rover Hot Wheels for $6.50.
