Garageable, Off-Grid-Capable Travel Trailer: Introducing the Exodus Rigs Capax
Oct 30, 2024 12:20 AM

If youve been on the hunt for an off-grid-capable, full-featured camper trailer for the whole family that can be easily stowed in your garage, then Exodus Rigs might have the answer for you. The Capax travel trailer offers a lot in a collapsible package.

Exodus Rigs is a new camper company established in 2022 in Southern California. It just started producing its first offering, the Capax.

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) This new trailer is interesting because it offers a powered pop-top design, has a collapsible tongue, and is built on a riveted aluminum chassis with independent air suspension. All this combined means its aerodynamic, can handle mild off-road terrain, sleeps up to five, and fits in a standard one-car garage.

  Capax Features

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) Besides the very cool powered pop-top design and unique collapsible tongue, the other feature that makes the Capax trailer super-usable is the 15 compartment doors on its exterior. These doors offer access to 150 cubic feet of storage, from both outside and inside the trailer.

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) Not unique, but nearly always a good idea on trailers meant to leave the pavement; independent axle-less air suspension. Exodus Rigs says its system is custom-made for them in the U.S. and offers up to 11 inches of adjustable travel. This allows for off-road clearance, highway efficiency, and easy entry and loading.

  Capax Layout

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) Layout-wise, the Capax offers a large dinette that converts to an RV king bed, a compact kitchen galley, a large wet bathroom, and a desk/bunk setup.

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) At the front of the trailer, there is a desk area and loads of storage. This area can also be converted into a bunk bed, with a double-wide bunk on the bottom that utilizes the area within the front storage box.

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) This allows for sleeping for up to five, although two adults and two kids is probably a more realistic program. Its also a great setup for two remote-working adults, as there is Starlink on board and plenty of lithium batteries with solar charging.

(Photo/Exodus Rigs) Of course the Capax also includes all the modern luxuries youd expect from a full-featured off-grid-capable travel trailer. It is all controlled from an app/touchscreen, has AC and heat, loads of clean running water, and more.

Combine all that luxury with 14 massive windows all the way around the camper, and you get a rolling oasis that allows you to feel like youre part of any environment you park up in. This is especially true when you slide out the outdoor kitchen and enjoy the camp life.
