Its the third time in 4 years that teammates Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit have won the Rebelle Rally, both the overall win and Bone Stock category, and each time in a Jeep. Its the first win for Jeeps only vehicle to wear a Desert Rated badge, the Gladiator Mojave. But, a Jeep has been on the top of seven of the nine Rebelle Rally podiums.
The Rebelle Rally is an 8-day, 1,500-mile all-womens off-road navigation rally, the only of its kind in the U.S. It takes place each October across Nevada and California. No support crews, cellphones, or GPS are permitted. Map, compass, roadbooks, and lots of strategy are on tap for competitors.

“Their class and overall wins are a testament to their skill, perseverance and teamwork, as well as the unmatched Desert Rated capabilities of Jeep Gladiator Mojave. We also extend our congratulations to the 16 private teams that completed the Rebelle Rally with their personal Jeep vehicles. Your trust in our vehicles, along with your endurance and achievements, inspires everyone in the Jeep community.”
Powerhouse Team Wins Rebelle Rally
(Photo/Jeep) The Barlow and Petereit team have competed in four Rebelle Rallies together, winning three and getting second once. Between them, they have competed in 16 rallies and secured podium finishes 14 times.
“Barlow, Petereit, and Jeep remain a winning combination at the Rebelle Rally. Not only did the Jeep Gladiator Mojave perform flawlessly, capturing the win, but did it as a Bone Stock vehicle with no modifications. Impressive, said Rebelle Rally Founder Emily Miller.
Nena Barlow runs Arizona-based Barlow Adventures. It offers off-road training, Jeep rentals, and guided trips throughout the southwest U.S. She is actively involved in trail conservation efforts and is a highly regarded off-road trainer and guide.
Teralin Petereit is a Utah-based nurse. She has turned her off-road hobby and navigation skills into top results across a variety of competitions over the years.
“The course was rough, the competition was tough, but it was like the Mojave was built for exactly this rally,” said Barlow. “We ran hard for all eight days and used all the advantages that the Mojave gave us with the fast desert suspension and the rear locker for climbing rocky hills. Me, Teralin and the Mojave finished whole and happy!”
Jeep Wins Rebelle Rally, Again
(Photo/Jeep) The 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave was the bone stock vehicle used to win the event. Its the only Jeep to carry the Desert Rated badge. That badge denotes that its designed to tackle high-speed desert and sandy terrains.
Specifically, the Mojave edition of Jeeps only pickup has a reinforced frame and axles, strengthened iron steering knuckles, and an enhanced suspension with FOX hydraulic jounce bumpers. All this combines to make it handle the abuse that going quickly over the desert dishes out.
