Ive been to every Overland Expo West since 2012. This year, there were 415 vendors displaying the latest and greatest from the overland industry.
Most of the products on display are old news to me and those that have seen my coverage of overland and automotive events, like SEMA, over the years here on GearJunkie. But, I make it my mission to search high and low every year to bring you the truly new and interesting products on offer at the show.
This year, I uncovered five award-worthy products, which received GearJunkie Overland Expo West 2024 Top Product awards. I also uncovered a few new products worth checking out.
You can read about my top product picks below, along with links to learn more about them, but you should also check out this video for all the action straight from Overland Expo West 2024.

Lifestyle Campers Fusionn
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) XGrid Campers imports, rents, and sells a wide array of off-road capable overland campers, many from Australian brands. The trailer from down under that really stood out from the crowd this year is the brand-new Lifestyle Campers Fusionn.
This overland hypercamper — a trademarked term by Lifestyle Campers — comes with all the bells and whistles in a tidy, durable package. It has independent air suspension, rock sliders, 33-inch tires (can fit 35s), an outdoor kitchen, a full bathroom, a pop-top roof, a 63-gallon fresh water tank, 700+ watts of solar, AC, diesel hot air/water, 600Ah lithium batteries, and more. It also only weighs 4,500 pounds. However, all that awesomeness comes at a price, with a sticker of around $80,000.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Van7 Lift Bed
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Keeping the interior of your camper a versatile space for living and storing gear is no easy task. RRE Global has a new bed solution for camper vans, expedition vehicles, trailers, and more that provides you with a level, comfortable bed anywhere.
The Van7 Lift Bed is a manual, free-hanging drop bed. It manually rachets down with a crank mechanism and locks into position with a similar system. Each corner of the bed can be individually adjusted to level the bed, with bubble levels on both sides of the bed helping get it perfect. This is great for parking on uneven ground but still want a flat sleeping surface.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) The bottom of the bed can be painted to match your decor and offers both built-in storage and lighting. While not inexpensive at about $4,500, the Van7 Lift Bed is an elegant, simple solution to a real issue when traveling.
STEP22 Spare Tire System
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Combine a patented universal spare tire mount system with a storage/trash bag system and a quick access traction board mount, and you get the STEP22 Spare Tire System.
The base of this system consists of a ratchet strap with metal universal mounting brackets. You can mount things to it using MOLLE or quarter-twenty mounting hardware.
The Trash Panda bag system has a hardback and bottom. It folds flat when not in use and has a zippered and roll-top closure system. It can be mounted directly to the tire with the mount strap, or on the outside of the Shark Cage.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) The Shark Cage is a universal traction board mount that also offers up horizontal and vertical — hemlock pattern — MOLLE attachment points all over it for mounting even more accessories.
This burley, versatile system will no doubt cost more than a few pretty pennies. Pricing will be announced closer to its September release date.
Alu-Cab Silenus
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) OK4WD has a long history in the U.S. off-road and overland scene and is the importer of Alu-Cab products into North America. The company is always on top of the latest vehicle trends, and the latest and greatest on offer is the Alu-Cab Silenus Grenadier pop-top roof conversion.
This simple-to-use pop-top makes the new INEOS Grenadier a super comfortable overland vehicle with a bed and interior standing room. The system is also super low profile and integrates really well into the SUVs roof.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) About 15 pounds of weight are cut out of the vehicles roof to make the opening for the Alu-Cab Silenus, and it weighs in at about 225 pounds. Expect it to be available in North America for about $10K in the fall.
Mosko Moto Boundary Jacket Pants
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Mosko Moto has finally released a fully armored, three-layer, waterproof, breathable adventure riding jacket and pants set. This has been much anticipated in the ADV riding community, and it looks like it will impress many.
The Mosko Moto Boundary riding gear has SuperFabric, eVent, and Rheon armor. The armor, in particular, is super cool. It is crazy lightweight, flexible, and breathable while also offering top-notch impact resistance.
The Boundary jacket will run you $1,199 and pants $899. You can buy them direct from Mosko Moto now.
Hot Tip: Apparently, the Boundary jacket and pants are a bit stiff when fresh off the production line. I got word from an insider at Mosko that the trick is to run them through the washer twice before riding in them, which will make them much more comfortable right away.
Best of the Rest
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Of course, with 415 vendors at the show, there were more than five cool new overland products. Here are a few of the other things that caught my eye.
Roboteos Heliotrope 1.0
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) This year, in the AT Overland booth at Overland Expo West, there was a GPS-based 2-axis solar tracking system from Roboteos. The Heliotrope 1.0 is a 400W, 120-pound system that adds about 6 inches of height to your vehicle while capturing up to 2.5x the energy of a flat panel system. The $5,400 system — an introductory special gets you an additional 15% off — will be available starting this summer.
Mammoth Overland Tall Boy
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) We got the early exclusive on the Mammoth Overland Tall Boy overland camper trailer prior to Overland Expo West 2024, so dive into the full story.

Intrepid Camp Gear Cargo Box XL
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) If youve been looking for an alternative to the traditional roof box, look no further than the Intrepid Camp Gear Cargo Box XL. This $1,195 roof case will come out this fall. It is made of aluminum extrusions and plastic end caps and can be fully customized inside with Velcro and MOLLE panels and outside with roof rails.
It comes with a drain plug, Velcro in the lid, and gas struts. Loads of accessories will be on offer for this under-100-pound 88.5 L x 18 W x 8 H cargo box, and a second smaller size will also be on offer.
iKamper X-Cover 3.0 RTT
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Launching early in June, the iKamper X-Cover 3.0 RTT is a fully updated version of one of the companys best sellers. It has had a massive price reduction and now comes in at $2,599. Its lost its roof rack, but added diesel heater ports. It is a traditional four-season flip-open RTT, but with no extra storage cover — its built in — that can sleep three to four people (74 wide bed) and weighs in at 128 pounds.
Midland GXT67 Pro
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) The Midland GXT67 Pro is a new 5W handheld GMRS radio that just launched at Overland Expo West 2024. Its lightweight, rugged, fits the hand well, and is full of impressive features — like a repeater capability. $200 will get you one of these impressive little radios that would undoubtedly be an asset on the overland trail.
Joolca GottaGo
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) In the Equipt Expedition Outfitters booth this year was a cool toilet system at a great price. The versatile Joolca GottaGo comes out in August, is available for preorder now, and will cost you $280. It separates solids from liquids and gives you options of chemical, bag, or even composting disposal systems.
Dometic CFX2
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) No doubt the largest player in the electric cooler — or 12V fridge/freezer — world is Dometic. This year, it brought out an all-new line of value-priced units, called the Dometic CFX2. You get most of the top features of the CFX3, but for about $200 less.
Where the CFX2 slims down the features is by only being a single zone — versus being able to be a fridge and freezer at the same time — having a basic screen, and coming with plastic versus metal handles.
It comes in a new Ocean blue color and in 28L, 37L, 45L, and 57L sizes.
