Its been a time-honored tradition, upheld in ski movies, by ski calendars, and among ski buddies for decades. And this year, its back on the big screen in Matchstick Productions latest film, Calm Beneath Castles.
The film is currently on tour, premiering in cities across the U.S. Its a full-send, Matchstick-style exposé of some of the highest-quality gnar shredding youll see on screen this year. Athletes like Sam Kuch, Michelle Parker, Dennis Ranalter, Colby Stevenson, Jess Hotter, Craig Murray, Janelle Yip, John Collinson, and many others make for a star-studded cast.
The film includes segments in Haines, Alaska; Sugarbowl, California; Monument Ranch, Utah; and abroad in Japan, Australia, and Canada. And, of course, there is this cheeky segment, which was shot in Nevada at Terminal Couloir.
