Ahead of National Parks Week, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the Austin, Texas-based spirits brand, has donated $250,000 to the National Parks Foundation (NPF). To celebrate, it teamed up with the Southern California headwear company melin to make a hat for anyone who wants to show off their love for distilled alcohol and National Parks at once.
And 100% of the proceeds from hat sales will go to NPF and other similar organizations. Titos said its an opportunity for people to donate $80 to causes they care about, and get a branded activewear cap as a thank you.
The goal of Titos donation is to continue championing environmental conservation in National Parks across the U.S. It will also result in a significant tax write-off for the brand, which makes charitable contributions often.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka is proud to donate $250,000 to the National Park Foundation,” Brian Petroccio, director of national trade marketing at Tito’s Handmade Vodka, told GearJunkie. “With a shared commitment to quality craftsmanship and supporting environmental conservation, weve teamed up with premium headwear brand melin.
melin x Titos: National Parks Week Collaboration
(Photo/Titos) The melin x Titos Odyssey HYDRO hat is a quality ballcap that will look just as good on the trail as it will on the beach, at a backyard BBQ, or out to a sporting event. Its a navy five-panel hat with a snapback closure. The material is hydrophobic, so water will bead off the crown panels. It has a custom-molded rubberized patch and comes with its own carry bag.
The hat is a statement that you support National Parks and enjoy spirited good times. The logo on the cap sums up the attitude: Protect where we play. Pour more fun.
(Photo/Titos) At $80 it is an expensive ballcap. But every time you wear it youll have the satisfaction of knowing that $80 went directly to one of five different charitable organizations.
What’s truly special is that 100% of net proceeds from the melin x Tito’s Odyssey HYDRO hat are donated to the customer’s choice of nonprofit that Titos supports, Petroccio said, ensuring our fans receive a premium product, while also giving them the chance to support organizations that make a difference.”
Anyone who buys a hat can choose to donate the proceeds to Emancipet, a nonprofit that is increasing access to affordable veterinary services. Hire Heroes USA, empowering service members and veterans to succeed in the civilian workforce. Musicians on Call, which brings live and recorded music to hospital bedsides, or Southern Smoke Foundation, which serves food and beverage workers in times of crisis.
And of course, if you buy a melin x Titos Odyssey HYDRO National Parks Week Hat, you can donate the proceeds to the National Park Foundation (NPF) — the official fundraising partner of the National Parks Service.
Love, Titos Strikes Again
Sunset in Joshua Tree National Park; (photo/Xiaoling Keller) Since Titos started as a brand, it has had philanthropic tendencies. In its early days, it donated vodka to local nonprofit events in the Austin, Texas, area. That spirit of support only grew over the years and has matured into one of the brands core tenets.
According to Titos, it encourages all of its employees to support causes they are passionate about with its product. When they do, they historically included a thank you note signed, Love, Titos.
Thats why the brands nonprofit branch is called Love, Titos. NPF has been a beneficiary of the Love, Tito’s merch store since 2023. This $250,000 National Parks Week donation and collaboration with melin highlight Tito’s commitment to amplifying the environmental message behind NPF. It wants to help preserve our parks. This money will help achieve that end.
